In January 2023, Mad Systems revisited the Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center nearly 20 years after the first installation of the Blue Planet Theater, in Buford, GA.
Partnering again with Cortina Productions for media on this project, the Blue Planet Theater presents a show within a central pool that is nine feet in diameter. Hidden under the water is an eight foot wide topographical map that utizes an underwater mechanism the Mad Team built in 2006 and in still working order. Additional equipment however needed an upgrade.
While most of the original show remains unchanged, Mad Systems removed outdated equipment and integrated a new QuickSilver® system, which allows for remote monitoring for Mad and makes it easy for Cortina to change media. The QuickSilver® integration was accompanied by WiFi and projector upgrades, as well as a rebuild of the water screen.
