When Mad Systems was founded in 1998 - over a quarter-century ago now - we cut our teeth on traditional AV, just as the rest of the industry did. However, we diverged from the norm by infusing one significant modification into the 'standard' AV package most integrators offered back then: we created a facility to allow us to craft our own electro-mechanical interactives.

This innovation sprouted from an on-site observation; we found the quality of interactive devices being installed simply didn't meet our high standards. This often led to unnecessary maintenance or premature failures - issues we believed could be circumvented. Consequently, we equipped our facility with a complete machine shop featuring a lathe, milling machine, and a host of other necessary tools. This setup was later enhanced with a water jet machine, an invaluable asset that also aids in crafting custom interface plates and brackets for various AV-related projects.

As we journeyed forward, our traditional work began to merge with digital solutions, propelled by our clients' increasing demand for computer-based systems. Nevertheless, we've kept our roots intact, still taking great pleasure in constructing traditional systems using conventional tools and methodologies.
