Visitors in the simulated home at Fire! Science & Safety, with projected flames and safety information
A home-like setting makes fire hazards visible through media and interactive experiences.

Become a fire-danger detective.

In Fire! Science & Safety, visitors enter Apartment 911 at Casa Del Fuego and look for hazards in familiar household settings. Mad programmed and integrated the exhibition's media, software and physical interfaces.

At Extinguishing the Fire, a visitor selects English or Spanish, learns the Pull, Aim, Squeeze, Sweep sequence and uses a physical extinguisher interface to respond to a virtual fire. The wider exhibition was developed by California Science Center with Children's Burn Foundation.

QuickSilver® media players sit within the setwork and drive displays and projection. Interactives include a projected laundry-room fire and a stove-hazard activity with input/output control, illuminated buttons and selector knobs. Mad's software connects the visitor's actions to the on-screen response.
