WEBSITE PRIVACY
A useful visit.
A considered use of data.
This notice explains the information used by the Mad website, how the contact form works and the choices available to you.
This website is operated by Creative Mad Systems, Inc., doing business as Mad and Mad Systems, at 733 N Main Street, Orange, California 92868, USA.
WHEN YOU CONTACT US
The details you choose to share.
The enquiry form asks for your name, email address, optional organization, topic and message. We use these details to respond, understand your request and continue the relevant conversation. The form sends them to Mad’s business email address, info@madsystems.com.
The website does not keep a separate archive of enquiry text or accept attachments through this form. The message is handled by the hosting mail service and Mad’s email systems. Using “Open an email draft” or “Copy your message” prepares the text for you; you decide whether to send it through your own email provider.
Correspondence may remain in business email, project records or backups after a conversation ends. Contact us to ask about access, correction or deletion, and we will explain any records that need to be retained.
Applications made through the Careers page go to the email address identified for the role. We use the application materials you choose to send to consider your application and communicate with you about recruitment. They are not used by website analytics.
ESSENTIAL FORM SECURITY
A temporary session for online enquiries.
When you begin using the online enquiry form, the site prepares a temporary security session. Its cookie, named MADCONTACT, helps the server check that a submission belongs to the form you opened and prevent repeated submissions. It is restricted to secure connections and is not available to page scripts.
The session holds security tokens, recent submission-attempt times and whether a form was accepted for delivery. It does not hold your message text. Form tokens expire after 30 minutes. Temporary session files are subject to the hosting platform’s session cleanup and maintenance settings.
The cookie is a browser-session cookie. If you block it, or online sending is unavailable, the direct email, draft, copy and phone options remain available. No advertising or analytics cookie is needed.
READING PREFERENCES
The detail level stays with your browser.
The website can remember whether you prefer engineering sections open or closed. It stores that preference in your browser and uses it for up to 30 days after your latest interaction. A small amount of session storage lets the reading controls respond when you deliberately open or close two sections.
These settings support the reading experience. These preferences are not sent to an analytics service. You can change the Technical or Auto setting, clear this site’s browser data, or browse without allowing local storage.
Search and website measurement
Search without an advertising profile.
The website’s search runs in your browser against a public index of the site’s pages. The search code does not send your query to an analytics service. Search words may appear in the page address so you can share or revisit a search; ordinary hosting logs can contain a requested address.
This release does not include third-party advertising trackers or an aggregate page-view counter. Your browser’s reading preference is used only for the reading controls.
To limit abuse of the enquiry form, the server keeps short-lived security counts associated with a keyed representation of the requesting network address. These records are not an enquiry archive or a marketing profile. They are stored outside the public website and removed during routine cleanup after their useful security window.
HOSTING AND LINKS
Other parts of delivering the website.
Our hosting provider may keep ordinary request and security logs containing information such as an IP address, request time, requested address and browser details. These operational logs are separate from the enquiry security counters. Their retention depends on the hosting configuration and service arrangements.
Messages pass through hosting and email providers in order to reach us. Staff and service providers handling a request may need the relevant information to respond or provide the service. If you follow a link to an external publisher or service, that organization’s privacy notice applies there.
This notice covers the website and enquiries. Descriptions of recognition, sensing and personalization technology on product pages do not mean those venue systems are running on you as you read this website. A venue’s installed system needs its own stated purposes, permissions and data-handling arrangements.
